Shaolin Women’s Self Defence

Time: 11am to 12pm, Lead by Instructor Ro
This class provides a comfortable environment for women to receive expert self defence training by female Shaolin instructors. Includes mental training and instruction on how to handle various scenarios. There is more emphasis on simple techniques with repetition so that one become effective at self defence more quickly. This includes repeatedly punching and kicking tough pads and bags to condition one’s fists, knees, elbows, and feet for powerful strikes.

Wing Chun

Time: 11am to 12pm, Lead by Ben Ho
Wing Chun is a style of Kungfu known for its mathematical and chess-like combat efficiency, and is generally characterized by quick footwork and rapid punches. It is believed that the depth of this martial art originated from Ng Mui (a Buddhist nun associated with the Shaolin temple), whose knowledge was then passed to her female disciple Yim Wing Chun. You will learn the basics of Wing Chun movements and stance. Suitable for teens and adults.

Shaolin Qi Gong Level I

Time: 12pm to 1pm, Lead by Shi Chang Dao
Qi Gong is a light exercise designed to improve your overall health by increasing the available energy in your body and mind. When practiced properly it increases the amount of oxygen you ingest and distributes it to the deepest levels of cells in your body. This releases more energy, relaxes your mind, and reduces consumption of energy. Open to adults 17+.

Gentle Shaolin Kung Fu

Time: 1pm to 2pm, Lead by Shi Chang Dao
Gentle Shaolin Kung Fu is a soft version of the traditional Shaolin Kung Fu martial arts fitness and practical program and is similar to some Taichi (Taiji) martial arts styles. All the workout and training drills are catered to enhance softness in movement therefore is easy on the joints such as the ankles and knees. Students can learn various hand and weapons forms and experience them as a moving meditation experience. Overall it is the greatest combination of flexibility, balance, breath control, and exercise. Suitable for all ages including seniors and those with disabilities or injuries.

 

Shaolin Kung Fu for Kids (6-13yrs)

Time: 2pm to 3pm, Lead by Shi Chang Dao
Our kung fu kids program is designed to teach self-discipline through the Shaolin virtues of respect, focus, leadership, perseverance, strive, and compassion. They’ll do some warm up exercises, stretches, and traditional Shaolin kung fu stances and kicks. Your kids will have fun while getting a great workout!

 

Shaolin Kung Fu Level 1

Time: 2pm to 3pm, Lead by Instructor Andrew
This is the regular Shaolin Kung Fu martial arts fitness and practical program packed into 1 hour and designed for beginners with little or no experience. Participants enjoy a full workout using the traditional methods of Shaolin training and learn some practical self-defence. Expect a good sweat.

 

Toronto East Location

Shaolin Kung Fu for Kids (6-13yrs)

Time: 3pm to 4pm, Lead by Instructor Ro
Our kung fu kids program is designed to teach self-discipline through the Shaolin virtues of respect, focus, leadership, perseverance, strive, and compassion. They’ll do some warm up exercises, stretches, and traditional Shaolin kung fu stances and kicks. Your kids will have fun while getting a great workout!
